Trey was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Driven by a passion for numbers and a keen interest in financial systems, Trey chose to pursue a career in accounting. Joining the Attracct team as Tax Director, Trey is a Certified Public Accountant and brings over 10 years of experience in tax accounting having worked with a wide range of partners.

After receiving his bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting from Louisiana State University, Trey embarked on his professional journey at KPMG, one of the world’s leading audit, tax, and advisory firms. As a tax accountant, he was entrusted with handling tax matters for a diverse array of partners. His portfolio included major players in the oil and gas industry, large construction firms, and organizations within the medical field, among others. Over his four-year tenure at KPMG, Trey demonstrated exceptional proficiency in tax planning, compliance, and advisory services, assisting partners with navigating complex tax regulations and developing innovative solutions.

In pursuit of new challenges and growth, Trey joined a prominent nationwide home health care company, with over $2 billion in revenue and operating more than 300 locations across the country. As the tax manager, Trey was instrumental in all aspects of the company’s tax strategy and compliance. His leadership was instrumental in streamlining tax processes, enhancing compliance, and contributing to the company’s financial health.

Throughout his career, Trey has been committed to staying abreast of the latest tax laws and regulations, understanding that effective tax planning requires continuous learning and adaptation. He thrives on the challenge of developing innovative tax strategies that minimize liabilities and maximize financial outcomes for partners. Trey’s enthusiasm for tax planning is evident in his proactive approach, always seeking out opportunities to optimize tax positions and ensure compliance. He takes pride in building strong relationships with partners, understanding their unique needs, and providing tailored solutions that align with their financial goals.

When Trey is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife Jillian, daughter Isla, and their golden retriever Mellie. In addition to family time, Trey is an avid golfer and tries to get out on the course whenever time allows. Lastly, ever since he was a child, he has been a massive fan of anything LSU. Some of his most profound childhood memories involve LSU and include going to Omaha with his dad, the Bluegrass Miracle, and rushing the field after a big win over Florida.
